Accommodations
Check-in time is 4:00pm and check-out time is 12:00pm.
Early arrival and late check-out is based on availability and may result in a charge depending on the time requested. Please call the hotel at 301-277-7777 on the day of arrival to inquire about the availability of rooms prior to the 4:00pm check-in time. For late check-out requests, contact the desk the day prior to check-out to request an extension beyond the 11:00am check-out time.
Guests must be 21 years or older. Valid picture ID is required upon check-in.
ADA-compliant guest rooms are available and should be reserved in advance. If you require an ADA room, please notify The Hotel at the University of Maryland or call 301-277-7777.
The Hotel has a Spa, pool, and fitness center located on the 4th floor.
The Hotel at the University of Maryland participates in the Southern PAWs (Pets Are Welcome) program. At this time, dogs are permitted up to 100 pounds, with a maximum of two dogs per room. A non-refundable $75 pet fee will be charged (per stay). A waiver will be required at check-in and you will receive your PAWs welcome kit. To learn more, visit our PAWs page. All service animals are welcome.
The Hotel at the University of Maryland is 100% smoke-free. One cannot smoke within 200 feet of the building in accordance with Prince George’s County law. A $250 fee will be charged to the guest’s account should smoking occur anywhere inside The Hotel.
An extra person charge of $20.00 per person will apply if there are more than 2 adults (18 years or older) in the guest room. Rollaway beds are not permitted in guest rooms with two queen beds. There is a $15.00 fee per night for rollaway beds placed in guest rooms.
All guests must present a major credit card or debit card as guaranteed method of payment upon arrival. The credit/debit card presented will be authorized for the total amount of the guest’s stay plus an additional $50.00 per night for incidental charges. Nothing is charged to the credit/debit card until check-out. At check-out, the credit/debit card will be charged or the guest may pay cash for charges incurred. Authorized amounts may take up to 30 days after departure to be released by your bank or financial institution. The Hotel at the University of Maryland is not responsible for any resulting fees or charges.
If using a debit card, please be aware that the initial authorization amount will be automatically deducted from your account balance. Individual reservations made directly with the hotel or via our website can be modified or cancelled without penalty for cancellations received by 4:00pm (Eastern) 24-hours prior to arrival. Reservations that “no-show” or cancel after that time will be charged for one-night room plus tax. There are also special reservations including some advance purchase and package rates as well as special occasions that will have a different cancellation policy. Please note the policies when making your next reservation at The Hotel.

Our oversized standard guest rooms offer 450 square feet of space, available with either two queen or one king bed with sofa bed configurations. Rooms and suites are available on our Executive Level and also with ADA-compliant features. Suites offer more space, a separate bedroom and/or sitting areas, and other additional features.

Spa
The Spa offers massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, body scrubs and wraps, as well as a variety of spa packages.
You’ll find The Spa on the 4th floor of The Hotel in the Wellness Corridor.

Guests aged 18+ may enjoy facial and massage services. Reservations are required.
You do not need to be a guest of The Hotel to access The Spa. Day guests are welcome to stop in for a service or treatment and will also have access to The Hotel’s heated indoor pool and state-of-the-art fitness center.
Dress comfortably. Robes, towels, and sandals are available.

Our estheticians, massage therapists, and nail technicians are ready to accommodate your next group spa day. For group bookings such as bridal showers, birthday parties, corporate events, and more, contact the spa.
Please be advised that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy for individual appointments and 48 hours for groups of two or more. Appointments booked within 24 hours are considered confirmed and will be subject to our cancellation policy. Any changes and/or cancellations within 24 hours will result in a 100% charge of services booked for that day. Please be aware that if you arrive late for your appointment, your service time will be reduced accordingly and the full price of your scheduled service will still be charged.
The Spa accepts all major credit and debit cards, cash, or room charges for hotel guests.

Location & Transportation
The Hotel at the University of Maryland is right across the street from the main entrance on the east side of campus, providing convenient access to the university and all of its features and facilities.
The Hotel at the University of Maryland is located just eight miles from Downtown D.C. Guests who are driving can hop on the highway, which is minutes away, or take advantage of the Metro system, with the College Park Metro station less than a mile from our grounds and a future Purple Line Metro station will be steps from our entrance.

We offer self-parking for guests of The Hotel, event attendees and restaurant patrons. The Hotel also offers monthly parking passes, which can be purchased online.
The Hotel offers electric car charging stations for self-parkers (up to six vehicles at a time). The stations are Chargepoint CT4023 models from www.evchargesolutions.com. Please let the front desk know at check-in that you will be charging a vehicle. Stations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
